Hutchins' family attorney, Gloria Allred, is outraged over Alec Baldwin's announcement of a new reality TV show, calling it a strategic public relations move. The timing of the announcement, just a month before Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial, has particularly angered Hutchins' family.

Gloria Allred, who represents Halyna's mother Olga Solovey, father Anatolii Androsovych, and sister Svetlana Zemko, told TMZ she believes the show is meant to make Baldwin look like a sympathetic family man rather than the person responsible for Halyna's death. Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer, tragically lost her life in a shooting incident on the set of the movie "Rust."

In her statement, Allred didn't mince words, saying, "This appears to me, to be a calculated and cynical public relations move to try to influence the jury pool in New Mexico to think of him as a sympathetic family man rather than as the killer of Halyna Hutchins." She strongly criticized the timing and intent behind Baldwin's new reality show.

The reality show, featuring Alec Baldwin, his wife Hilaria, and their seven children, is set to premiere on TLC next year. Allred made it clear that she and her clients have no intention of watching the show.

Halyna's family had previously sued Alec Baldwin, along with Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and others, for unspecified damages related to loss of consortium, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress following Halyna's death on the "Rust" set. Halyna's husband, Matthew Hutchins, also filed a separate lawsuit against Baldwin, which was settled in October 2022.

Baldwin's criminal trial is scheduled to begin on July 9. He has pled not guilty to the involuntary manslaughter charge, a serious offense that could result in an 18-month prison sentence if he is convicted. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was also charged, faces a similar potential sentence.

Allred's statement underscores her belief that Baldwin's new show is an attempt to improve his public image ahead of the trial. She is adamant that this effort should not distract from the serious charges Baldwin faces and the tragedy of Halyna Hutchins' death. As of now, Baldwin's attorney has not responded to these claims.

The situation remains tense as the trial date approaches, with both sides preparing for what promises to be a highly publicized legal battle. Halyna Hutchins' family continues to seek justice for their beloved daughter, while Alec Baldwin maintains his innocence and faces scrutiny over the new reality show.
