Kate Bishop
.
Sporting jet-black hair and wielding a bow and arrow in her hands, the actress was seen filming for an upcoming series with ‘
Avengers
’ star
Jeremy Renner, known for his role as
Hawkeye
.
News of the 23-year-old Oscar-nominated actress being in talks for the project first spread in September 2019. However, there was no update on the same until now. Fans of the star spotted her in full costume, shooting a scene in a subway station in Brooklyn, NYC.
Rumours have been rife that since the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the character Kate Bishop could become a bigger part of the Marvel universe with her crossing over into the MCU, if not potentially featuring in a standalone series.
In the comics, Kate Bishop, who is
Clint Barton
’s protégé, eventually takes over the reins and pursues her crime-fighting duties.
Amidst rumours of the original 6 Avengers handing over the torch to younger stars, there have also been reports of
Scarlett Johansson handing over the Black Widow baton to
Florence Pugh in the upcoming origins film that is now slated for a May 2021 release.
