Filmmaker Guy Ritchie has reportedly been shortlisted to directed the next instalment of the

James Bond

film series.

After Ritchie's ex-wife Madonna flew into London this week for the start of son Rocco's school term, the director was slammed for leaving for LA.

It is reported now that Ritchie was meeting film execs to discuss the new James Bond movie.

"Guy has moved up the shortlist and is now the front runner. He's meeting Michael this week to try to do a deal and see if they can agree on a shared vision for the film," a source said.

Following on from the success of last year's 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E', Ritchie, 48, caught the attention of the Bond team who are looking for a replacement after Sam Mendes, who directed the last two Bonds, stepped down.

"Guy is under serious consideration for Bond 25 and this LA trip should help take this further. He doesn't have Sam's artistry, but Guy is a fast-paced, stunt-based director, who knows his stuff," the source added.

Aamir Khan, Reena Dutta

Actor Aamir Khan ended his 15-year long marriage with Reena Dutta, after he fell in love with Kiran Rao, the actor's assistant during the making of 'Lagaan'. Aamir has a son and daughter with Reena.

In an interview, Aamir had said, "Reena is extremely important and is very much a part of the family and she will always be...From a legal point of view we are divorced but I think the bond that we share is not going to break with a piece of paper."

Farhan Akhtar had split with his wife Adhuna after being married to her for 15 years. Farhan and Adhuna had mutually and amicably decided to part ways.

Pooja Bhatt took to Twitter and announced that she and her husband Manish Makhija have decided to part ways, ending 11 years of their marriage. Pooja wrote: "To all those who care & especially those that don't my husband Munna & Me have decided to part ways after 11 glorious years of marriage. Our split as some might call it is amicable & we hold each other in the highest esteem for now and forever. The reason I explain Is because we are both part of the public domain. After covering up the cracks in her marriage with Karan Singh Grover, Jennifer Winget finally admitted that the two have separated. They tied the knot in April 2012.

Karisma Kapoor and her husband, Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur, had decided to file for a legal separation by mutual consent.

Dimpy and Rahul Mahajan, who in 2010 became the first couple in the country to marry on reality TV, had filed for divorce by mutual consent.

"Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship. This is a very trying time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time.'' The actor's father Rakesh Roshan too confirmed that the couple's separation.
