Guillermo del Toro is making Frankenstein with Oscar Isaac, Andrew Garfield and Mia Goth

High on the success of Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, the Mexican filmmaker is now scouting around for the best actor to play the role of Frankenstein in his next live-action project that will be streamed on an OTT platform. Frankenstein will be both written and directed by Guillermo del Toro.

The three-time Academy Award winner who also has an equal number of BAFTA awards under his belt is known for films based on fairy tales and horror stories in which he further infuses more grotesque elements. The filmmaker is already in talks with some important stars as he zeroes in on who best will play the lead role in his new film.
He has apparently already met three important actors and all three have been roped in to act in the film. The filmmaker is still working on the script.

No further details are available. Neither is it known whether Frankenstein will be a period picture or set in contemporary times. The actors he has been talking to include Oscar Isaac who has worked in an MCU project, Moon Knight, and is now working on a project for Amazon. Andrew Garfield and Mia Goth are the other two big actors who have met del Toro. Goth will reportedly be playing the horror doctor, Frankenstein’s love interest.
