Futabasha's 'Monthly Manga Town' magazine to cease publication on December 5: Deets inside

The December issue of Futabasha's ‘Monthly Manga Town’ magazine has announced that it's going to stop publishing after the next issue, which will be out on December 5. In that last issue, they'll tell us what's going to happen to the manga stories they used to feature.

One of the popular manga titles in the magazine, called ‘Shin Crayon Shin-chan’ (New Crayon Shin-chan), will continue to release new chapters on a new and improved Manga Crayon Shinchan website. Futabasha will also keep making books that compile the manga's chapters and related materials.

This manga magazine started back on November 5, 2000, and it was essentially a rebranding of ‘Crayon Shinchan Tokushu-go,’ which was a special spinoff from Futabasha's Manga Action magazine.

The current version of the Crayon Shin-chan manga, known as ‘Shin Crayon Shin-chan,’ began in the same magazine on August 5, 2010. The original Crayon Shin-chan manga by Yoshito Usui started in Manga Action in 1990.
