Lili Reinhart opens up about what a male director said to her that hurt her
The ‘Riverdale’ star, along with her co-stars Lola Tung, Alexandra Shipp, and Victoria Pedretti, sat for an interview with Cosmopolitan where they looked back on their career. During one of the segments, when they were asked about an acting note from a director that they did not like, Reinhart had a shocking answer that left everyone in disbelief.
While she did not take any names when describing the event, she shared that this director had once commented on her stomach. “When I had a male director come up to me and silently lean over and go, ‘Just suck in your stomach a little bit,’ she recalled, leaving everyone shocked. The issue sat with her, especially more so as the actress has been vocal about her disordered eating and body dysmorphia over the past couple of years.
Reinhart did not go into details about the issue; however, Tung was quick to joke and comment, “Time for a hex, Time for a hex,” while all of the girls encouraged her to take the director’s name.
