Taking to his platform X (formerly Twitter), King made his request explicit: “Dear Paramount: More EVIL, please.” His endorsement was met with excitement from the show’s cast and creators, including lead actress Katja Herbers, who plays Dr. Kristen Bouchard. Herbers expressed her appreciation by tweeting, “From the bottom of our Evil hearts, thank you!!!” Meanwhile, the conversation between King and the 'Evil' team started after Herbers shared a video from King’s news interview, where he praised the show for its wit, intelligence, and sharp writing.

In the interview, King described Evil as great, praising its mix of humour and thought-provoking content. Clearly delighted by the praise, Herbers playfully requested a renewal in her tweet: “OKAY CAN WE DO THE PICK UP NOW? Thank you @StephenKing.”

On the other hand, the show's co-creator, Robert King, who developed 'Evil' with Michelle King, also reacted to Stephen King's endorsement, describing it as 'such an honor,' according to a report by Decider.

For those unaware, Robert King has previously expressed his interest in continuing the series, envisioning 'two more seasons' despite the challenges posed by the ongoing Hollywood strikes and changes in the streaming industry.

'Evil' delves into the origins of evil and the delicate balance between science and religion. The series follows Dr. Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers), a forensic psychologist; David Acosta (Mike Colter), a Catholic seminarian; and Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi), a tech expert, as they investigate supernatural phenomena on behalf of the Catholic Church.
