After celebrating the theme of women on celluloid last year, the 19th edition of European Union Film Festival in Jodhpur will have youth as its theme. Starting today , the festival will go on till June 7. Around 19 films will be screened at the festival that will see the filmmakers from across the globe converge at Jodhpur. Titled `Voices of Youth', the festival is being organized by the Film Society of Jodhpur .The fest will start with the screening of the award-winning film, Garbage Prince from Finland at Ustad Ganeshilal Auditorium in the Information Centre.
Rest of the films will be screened at the art gallery of Jai Narain Vyas Town Hall. Justice Vineet Kothari will inaugurate the fest while Ritwa Haujikarvi, the counsellor of the Embassy of Finland will also be present on the occasion.
Mohan Swaroop Maheshwari, secre tary , Jodhpur Film Society said, “We have got films from all European countries to be screened during the fest. There will be 19 films to be screened during the 18day fest which will be mainly focusing the youth. Highlighting their dreams, passion, and aspirations, the films will portray various emotions of youth across the world on celluloid screen.“
The festival will conclude with the film Snowboarders from Czech Republic, next month.
