Disney-Pixar's Elemental trailer is out; the animated film is set to release on June 16

The full trailer of the cute, yet meaningful animation film, Elemental is out. A Disney-Pixar production, Elemental will hit theatres on June 16, later this year. It’s about people living in Element City, the general rule being that elements such as water, earth, fire and air do not mix. But in the trailer, and a short teaser that was released earlier, Ember who belongs to the Fire tribe and Wade, who’s from the Water tribe do meet and as they say, opposites react.
Or is it opposites attract? Whatever it may be, there is a suggestion in the trailer that the two, Ember and Wade do strike up a friendship – one in which each visits the other’s home to meet the family.

For some viewers, it seemed like something straight out of an Indian setting. Some users online were even recalling the five elements that are within us according to Ayurveda – water, earth, fire, air and ether (space). Pixar fans will have to wait till June 16 when the film hits theatres to see if there is a bigger message behind the film, such as all elements learning to respect and live together in balance.Meanwhile, this heartwarming story promises to be a favourite with children, while still holding a message for adults.

June 16 is also Father’s Day weekend. It is also the week when DC will release The Flash and Focus Features will release Asteroid City. The news is that Lionsgate will release its horror-comedy, The Blackening, too during the same period.
