Dakota Johnson shares a rare bond with Riley Keough going back 18 years

Dakota Johnson recently revealed that she has been best friends with Riley Keough since the girls were sixteen years old. They were both children of famous parents and had a deep interest in music. This led to many teenage excursions like attending music festivals, going for sleepovers at each other’s homes, going blonde together and even forming a band.
Dakota Johnson said that the two first met each other in a parking lot of an In & Out outlet. The two actresses are of the same age and both of them went on to play lead roles in well known films and shows. Dakota acted in 50 Shades of Grey and Persuasion, while Riley Keough apart from films, found recent success in Daisy Jones & the Six.

Together, they were like soulmates. Dakota Johnson used the word soulmates to describe her friendship with Riley while being interviewed by Vanity Fair. Their mothers would often talk to each other and discuss who would drop the girls and other logistics. Dakota also spoke about the two sharing favourite outfits, using the same oriental perfume, attending music festivals and of course dating musicians.
