Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood, who celebrated his birthday on Sunday, turned 96 years old. Now, according to reports, the star has reportedly called it quits on acting and directing, thus bringing to a close to one of the most remarkable careers in Hollywood.

In an interview with a French outlet, France 3, Eastwood’s son Kyle Eastwood revealed that his father has officially retired. The musician told the portal that his dad officially bowed out of the industry at the age of 95. “I have a lot of good memories of working with him. Now he’s retired, he’s 95 years old. But I’ve been very lucky to be able to work with him on a lot of films. It was a great experience for me," Kyle said of working with his father over the years.

The news comes after Clint turned 96 on May 31. Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, in a birthday tribute, lauded the Hollywood legend for his approach towards life.On Monday, Anil Kapoor took his Twitter handle and penned a note for the veteran actor. He wrote, “Happy Birthday, Clint Eastwood. Few people redefine longevity the way you have. Decades of unforgettable work, timeless characters, and an enduring spirit that continues to inspire artists across the world”.
Anil quote tweeted a post from a social media user. The original post read, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Clint Eastwood was born on May 31, 1930, and turns 96 this month. One of his most well-known quotes is, ‘Do not let the old man in’. That line became a personal motto about aging, discipline, and refusing to mentally give up. It came from a conversation about staying active, staying curious, and continuing to move forward no matter your age. Wishing you a very Happy Birthday and many more ahead”.
