Chuck Norris mourns the loss of his mother at 103; Says, ‘Her hugs provided a sense of safety’

Hollywood actor, the martial artist Carlos Ray aka Chuck Norris recently shared the heartbreaking news of his mother Wilma Scarberry’s demise via a touching Instagram note.


The ‘Forest Warrior’ actor took to his official Instagram handle to share the news regarding the demise of his mother. Sharing a series of adorable snaps with his mother, Chuck Norris penned a note that read, “Wednesday morning, my brother Aaron and I’s wonderful mother went home to be with Jesus. Our mom was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected God’s grace.”


He further said in the note that his mother’s laughter filled their home with joy and her hugs provided a sense of safety that they (he and brother) will forever hold close in their memories. Chuck Norris’ note further read, “Growing up, her laughter filled our home with joy, and her hugs provided a sense of safety that we will forever cherish. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own.”


Chuck Norris added that his mother taught him the importance of having kindness and compassion and he also shared his gratitude for countless inspiring lessons his mother taught him.

Chuck Norris ended the note by saying, “From my earliest memories, she taught me the importance of kindness and compassion. I am so thankful for the countless lessons she shared, the prayers she lifted for us, and the way she embodied the love of Christ every day. We love you, Mom. Until we meet again.”


His post was soon flooded with comments. One comment read, “Sorry for your loss. You won’t get over this, just get used to it. And the inevitably and universality of losing someone dear does little to soften the blow. But you can rejoice knowing she is Home, free of earthly sorrows and only knows heaven’s joys.” Another comment read, “Chuck, our hearts and thoughts are with you and your family.”
