Chris Evans has backed actress Brie Larson, who is the frontrunner to take up the mantle of superhero Carol Danvers - aka
Captain Marvel

Evans, who co-starred with the Oscar-winner in 2009 film '
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
', described Larson as "phenomenal", reported Digital Spy.

' earlier this year, is the first choice to play the role in the upcoming film 'Captain Marvel.'
No director is on board for 'Captain Marvel' yet, although
Elizabeth Wood
is rumoured to be involved.
