The Hollywood star was so grateful to the staff at the hospital for treating eight-year-old Lily-Rose in March last year, that he felt the need to write them a large cheque.

However, that wasn’t the end.
The actor also secretly turned up at the children’s hospital later and entertained youngsters there with bedtime stories in the guise of Captain Jack Sparrow. He is said to have had his costume flown in from Los Angeles for the occasion.
Depp also invited five doctors and nurses who cared for Lily-Rose to attend the party for Sweeney Todd last week. Disney, who made Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean films, has also donated $20 million (Rs 80 crore) to Great Ormond Street to help fund redevelopment of the hospital site.
