Actor Bradley Cooper has made a

surprise

appearance at a family friend's

wedding

in Washington.

The 41-year-old star visited his own alma mater, Georgetown University, where the wedding took place, and congratulated the couple.

"Here's a sneak peek from Meg and Nick's private ceremony this past weekend! Their friend, Bradley Cooper, was visiting Georgetown and made sure to congratulate the newlyweds as they walked around campus," the wedding photographer said.

The actor recently surprised pop star Lady Gaga at 'Saturday Night Live' (SNL), who was slated to perform as the show's musical guest.

"LOOK who showed up to watch me perform! what a guy. Talkin' creative and enjoying some backstage fun," Gaga wrote on Instagram.

Richest actors of Hollywood

Here is the Forbes' list of highest paid actors of Hollywood. The list looks at estimated earnings between June 2013 and June 2014. Top in the list this year is: Robert Downey, Jr. at $75 million. As Iron Man, he's been the driving force behind four of Marvel's biggest hits, including "The Avengers" which is the third highest-grossing movie of all time. With upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron" , Robert Downey, Jr. was rewarded with a big pay hike.

Next in the list is Dwayne Johnson with $52 million. With "Hercules" and 2015's earthquake disaster film "San Andreas," The Rock is carrying movies on his sizable shoulders.

Third this year is radley Cooper with $46 million. His work in the lucrative "Hangover" franchise has given him the ability to take risks with smaller films like "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle." Both movies earned him Oscar nominations.

Leonardo DiCaprio has trickled down to the 4th slot with an earning of $39 million. The actor had to agree to cut his upfront fee in order to get the Martin Scorsese film The Wolf of Wall Street made.

Next is the Hollywood hunk Chris Hemsworth at $37 million. The Thor star is all set to feature in the upcoming upcoming film "Cyber" which is about high-level hacking.

Next is Taken star Liam Neeson at $36 million. With "Taken 3" on the horizon, Neeson still makes plenty of money.

Ben Affleck is at $35 million. Affleck is rumoured to have collected a huge paycheck to turn into a Batman.

Christian Bale is at $35 million. Bale has successfully moved on from playing Batman. He earned his second Oscar nomination this year for "American Hustle" .

Will Smith is at $32 million. Will is known as the kind of star in Hollywood whose even failures ring enough coffers to make producers glee.

Mark Wahlberg is at $32 million. Wahlberg is still collecting money from 2012's "Ted." The raunchy comedy earned $550 million in theaters on a $50 million budget.
