Recently, in an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Turini said that Blue Ivy took the initiative of choosing her stage costume for the NFL Christmas Day show in 2024 when she performed alongside her mother during the halftime performance of the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game. The show was live on Netflix and is also available for streaming as part of Beyoncé's 'Renaissance World Tour'. The duo captivated audiences with their powerful stage presence, and Blue Ivy stood out for her dancing skills and undeniable confidence.
For the performance, Beyoncé wanted everyone in the ensemble to wear white. Turini explained that this required a thoughtful approach to textures, patterns, and accents, incorporating elements like fringe, suede, and crystals. However, in the case of Blue Ivy, Turini was aware that this young star would shine bright, no matter what she wore. Blue Ivy's costume needed to be something unique, expressing her individuality and style, and she did it with a confidence that really went well with all the other costumes.
Turini also mentioned that she created personal rodeo belts for both Beyoncé and Blue Ivy so that both could feel close to each other through their attire. At halftime, during the 13-minute spectacle, Blue Ivy appeared remarkably at the end when Beyoncé performed her song 'Texas Hold 'Em'. There was a soft and moving moment, when she had changed one line of her song in which she addressed her daughter; "Then spin me in the middle, Blue, I can't read your mind."
Then the duo took the stage for an elaborate line dance that helped raise the energy level of the performance. While Beyoncé is being hoisted in the air, a "BANG" banner appears.
