Ben Affleck grateful as his $20M home survives Los Angeles wildfires

Ben Affleck returned to his $20.5 million home in Pacific Palisades after temporarily evacuating due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The actor, who purchased the luxurious mansion in July 2024, had initially sought refuge at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home in Brentwood during the evacuation.

A source told Page Six that Affleck’s house was still under evacuation orders but had fortunately escaped damage for the time being. The insider added that the actor was "extremely grateful" his property remained intact amidst the destruction caused by the fires. Photos showed Affleck looking serious as he drove back to his property in a black sedan, using the access code to enter the premises.

The sprawling mansion, which boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and horse stables, was among the few celebrity homes to survive the wildfires. Many of Affleck’s neighbors were not as fortunate, with numerous homes in the area succumbing to the blaze. The source also revealed that Affleck was actively reaching out to offer help, as he knew several people who had lost their homes.

While Affleck’s home was spared, other celebrities were also fortunate. Reports indicated that luxury properties belonging to stars like Kate Hudson, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Chris Pratt, Rebel Wilson, and Tom Brady were miraculously saved from the fires.

However, the wildfires took a toll on several A-list homes. Celebrities such as Leighton Meester, Adam Brody, Anna Faris, Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, and Paris Hilton suffered significant losses as their estates were destroyed.

As the wildfires continue to impact Los Angeles, Affleck’s experience underscores the devastation faced by many and the unpredictable nature of such disasters. Despite the challenges, Affleck remains focused on helping those affected and is grateful his home is still standing.
