<br /><br />So much so that a watching world temporarily landed him with a new baby boy rather than a girl.<br /><br />In fact, Beatrice Milly McCartney, joined the Beatle brood on Tuesday night, nearly 36 hours before the world’s nosiest newsmen found out.<br /><br />When the press did find out, they got the sex wrong, congratulating Sir Paul and his 35-year-old blonde wife Heather on their new "baby boy".<br /><br />Either way, the birth of the new Beatle babe is being described as a sign that 61-year-old Sir Paul will not "let it be", said one ageing, overjoyed fan outside the hospital.<br /></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><br />Critics said the fan, who described himself as "of the original Beatles generation", spoke for "the on-and-on-and-on youthfulness of the baby boomers".<br /><br />Beatrice Milly, who joins her three adult half-siblings as part of the McCartney flock, was rescued from the womb by an emergency Caesarean section three weeks early. <br /><br />Her birth occurred at a hospital just yards from Abbey Road, the legendary north London recording studios most famous by the Fab Four. Beatle fans greeted the coincidence as an event of a dramatic significance, almost a second coming for Sir Paul. <br /><br />The new parents said they were "ecstatic". With failing grammar -– but evidently deep joy -– Paul and Heather described their new daughter as "a little beauty and we couldn''t be prouder".<br /><br />And falling back on that timeworn phrase, they said their "immediate family" was "as overjoyed as we are at the early arrival of our little bundle of joy." <br /></div> </div><div class="section3"><div class="Normal"><br />The world was told of Beatrice Milly McCartney’s impending arrival back in May, accentuating reports of growing bitterness between Sir Paul’s three grown-up children and his feisty, young wife.<br /><br />The couple married barely three years after the Beatle lost his adored wife of 29 years, Linda.<br /><br />Just last month, the second Mrs McCartney used a television interview to teasingly tell a wondering world that she knew the sex and name of the baby but was keeping it a secret. Heather had said: "It''s our one little secret. We both know and we know the name and everything," adding regretfully that eventually the press was bound to find out where she was giving birth.<br /><br />Heather, a divorcee when she met Sir Paul, confesses to a controversial past as shoplifter, homeless person and girl-about-town. In the interview, she launched an outspoken and bitter attack against the cult of the "stalker-azzi", the intrusive media.</div> </div>
