BAFTA Awards 2020: 'The Irishman' actor Al Pacino trips on the red carpet

The 73rd

British Academy Film Awards

were held in the UK. The best performances and movies were nominated at the

BAFTA

. Stars put their fashion leg forward as they attended the event. Pictures and videos from the

red carpet

are doing the rounds on social media. But it was an unfortunate red carpet moment caught everyone's eye. Irishman star Al Pacino tripped and fell on the red carpet before he could pose for the shutterbugs at the event.


The actor sported an all-black suit. He finished the look with a pair of sunglasses. In the photos, we can see him making his way into the event when he lost balance and tripped. We can see people holding him as he tried to get back on his feet. According to the reports. Pacino suffered no injuries.

The actor is competing against co-star Joe Pesci, Brad Pitt in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', Tom Hanks in 'A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood', and Anthony Hopkins in the 'Two Popes' for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award. The actor lost the award to Brad Pitt.
