About the movies
The movie revolves around Morris Buttermaker, a washed-up failed minor league baseball player with a rough, messy life and no interest in taking on commitment of any kind. However, his life is drastically turned around by his newfound coaching job with a Little League Team. The team he has been awarded is not the best, and they are untrained, chaotic, and dispute each other constantly, with no possibility of his team winning at all.
As time progresses with each season, he comes to understand that they not only need rules and practice, but they need to have some level of belief in one another and things start shifting when a fearless young pitcher, Amanda Whurlitzer, enters the picture and brings real talent to the squad. Her confidence sparks new energy, and the team finally begins to look like a unit instead of a disaster.
