Authorities reveal the cause of death of Tommy Lee Jones’s daughter, Victoria Jones

Tommy Lee Jones’s family is grappling with profound grief following the tragic demise of his daughter, Victoria Jones. The 34-year-old was found unresponsive in a San Francisco hotel on New Year’s Day, and her cause of death has now been officially revealed as accidental.

Victoria Jones, the younger daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley, passed away on January 1, 2026, in the hallway of the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Paramedics responded around 3 a.m. after a 911 call reported an unresponsive woman, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined her death resulted from the “toxic effects of cocaine,” ruling it accidental, reported first by People magazine.




Early reports from the magazine suggested a suspected overdose, with dispatch audio mentioning a “code 3 for the overdose, color change,” referring to skin discoloration often linked to such incidents. No foul play was suspected, and the hotel cooperated fully with authorities. “We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026. Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time,” said Fairmont San Francisco press director Michelle Heston.

Victoria Jones shared a close bond with her brother, Austin Lee Jones, 43, the son of Tommy Lee Jones and Kimberlea Cloughley, whose marriage ended in 1996.
