Auction for ‘Peaky Blinders’ original costumes held in Manchester, manages to reel in $25,700 for cancer charity!

The ‘Peaky Blinders’ bar located in Manchester recently held a charity auction event which managed to incur a large number of benefits for the cancer charity foundation. The event was held from April 22 to May 20, and managed to bring in a lot of money, shocking everyone.

The ‘Peaky Blinders’ bar in Manchester managed to boast an amount of $25,700 for charity after some of the original costumes were auctioned off to the attendees of the event, according to The Independent.

Specifically, Cillian Murphy’s character Tommy Shelby led the way for the high prices. His grey suit, the iconic three-piece suit that was worn by the actor during the final episode of the popular show ended up garnering $2,234 in bidding.

What made the suit even more special was the fact that in one of the pockets, a handwritten note on a piece of script was found as well which read “takes off ring”. Another one of his famous wool suits, specifically the “Tommy suit C” ended up garnering a bidding of $4,063, becoming the most expensive item sold of the night.

Auction ended up amounting to $25,700

Oswald Mosley’s hat which was worn by Sam Claflin ended up getting priced at $243, while Helen McCrory’s coat which she wore as Polly Gray on the series went for $880. Cillian Murphy’s wedding suit from season 3 of ‘Peaky Blinders’ was also sold during the auction. It ended up becoming another high-priced selling item as $2167 was paid for the suit.

The auction and charity event was being held in order to raise and collect funds for a nonprofit charity organisation for cancer patients. The overall amount of everything that was sold during the auction ended up amounting to $25,700, making the event a huge and grand success.
