Titled, '
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom
' the film will see the hunk return as the superhero also known as Arthur Curry. Director
James Wan, took to his handle to share a photo of the clapper board from the sets and signalled the start of the film. Unlike the underwater settings, this set one was rather icy.
"Day One. #aquaman2," Wan captioned the photo.
This update comes just two weeks after the director revealed the official title of the upcoming DC sequel. In an Instagram post, the director posted the photo of the title card from a production meeting he attended and captioned it saying, "The tide is rising."

'Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom' is slated has a release date of Dec. 16, 2022.
The first 'Aquaman' that film released in December 2018, grossed over $1.13 billion at the worldwide box office, making it the only DC film to reach that number outside of
Christopher Nolan’s 'The Dark Knight' trilogy.
