Anya Taylor-Joy's bodyguard defends her from aggressive fan in SHOCKING video from Cannes Film Festival- WATCH

The Cannes Film Festival was off to a rather controversial start on Tuesday after a video capturing a tense encounter between actress Anya Taylor-Joy and an aggressive fan went viral.

The clip from the festival saw the 'Furiosa' star making an appearance at the festival on Day 1, when a fan approached her in a seemingly aggressive manner as she made her way to her car. The man was seen with holding up a pen and a book for the actress' autograph. However, as the beauty refused to stop, he was seen running up in front of her and demanding an autograph.


Anya's alert bodyguard stepped in to defend the actress from any possible physical assault. As the man refused to back away, the bodyguard was seen grabbing him and pushing him aside.

In the commotion, the actress' large sun hat was tipped off her head. Looking rather uncomfortable with the heightened attention, she was assisted to her car, where she slid in to the back seat and closed the door, denying other fans a possible picture or autograph.

In the film, Anya plays the young Furiosa, snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde. She then sets out on a mission to find her way back home.
