Anti-Diddy legal team slams Kanye West's 'Free Puff' rant: 'Birds of a feather'
After weeks of speculation about his stay in Tokyo amid the Diddy scandal, Kanye West has resurfaced, openly supporting Sean Combs and reigniting controversy.
The lawyers representing Diddy’s alleged victims—Tony Buzbee, Lisa Bloom, and Tyrone Blackburn—strongly opposed Kanye West’s online post. While West demanded his friend’s release from prison, the attorneys insisted that the Revolt founder should remain in the Brooklyn jail.
Tony Buzbee told TMZ that multiple lawsuits have been filed against Diddy for rape, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking. While the possibility of bail has come up in court several times, his requests have been repeatedly denied, despite his continued denial of all allegations.
Attorney Tyrone Blackburn, representing ex-Diddy producer Rodney Jones and others, dismissed Kanye West’s call for Diddy’s release as a “foolhardy request.” He also mocked Ye’s Grammy appearance, suggesting he take medication and stop controlling his wife. Commenting on their connection, Blackburn remarked, “Birds of a feather flock together.”
Lisa Bloom, lawyer for former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard, also used the phrase “Birds of a feather” to describe Kanye West and Diddy’s connection.
While many of Diddy’s former associates have distanced themselves following his 2024 arrest and multiple sex crime allegations, Kanye West has taken the opposite stance.
Just days after his and Bianca Censori’s controversial Grammy appearance, Kanye West grabbed headlines again. With attention on him, the “Heartless” rapper regained control of his social media and publicly demanded the release of his music industry friend from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre.
