Danish film "Another Round", starring Mads Mikkelsen, won best international feature film at the 93rd Academy Awards here. The comedy-drama is directed by Thomas Vinterberg and revolves around four friends who are high school teachers.

Danish film "Another Round", starring Mads Mikkelsen, won best international feature film at the 93rd Academy Awards here. The comedy-drama is directed by Thomas Vinterberg and revolves around four friends who are high school teachers.
In a bid to see how alcohol affects their social and professional lives, they start consuming alcohol on a daily basis.
While receiving the award, Thomas got emotional as he remembered his late daughter.

She passed away when her father was busy with ‘Another Round’. She was supposed to feature in the film as she was ‘blown away with excitement’ after reading the script.
Speaking about her, he said, “She was supposed to be in this and if anyone dares to believe that she's here with us somehow, you'd be able to see her clapping and cheering with us. We ended up making this movie for her -- as her monument. So, Ida, this is a miracle that just happen, and you're a part of this miracle -- maybe even pulling some strings somewhere. But this one is for you.”
The movie, written by Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm, stars Mikkelsen, Thomas Bo Larsen, Magnus Millang and Lars Ranthe and is a co-production between Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden.
