Angelina Jolie to celebrate 50th Birthday quietly with loved ones after challenging years

Angelina Jolie recently turned 50, but she isn’t planning a big celebration. The Oscar-winning actress is happy and excited about the milestone, but prefers to keep things low-key. Instead of a large party, she plans to have a small, intimate celebration with her six children — Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (20), Shiloh (18), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16).

As per a report in PEOPLE, Angelina Jolie had a tough time during much of her 40s, but she’s now in a much better place. After finalizing her divorce from Brad Pitt in December 2024, following an eight-year legal battle, things have improved. “The kids are amazing and thriving,” the report added, noting there’s now less family drama.


Angelina Jolie Returns to Acting and Directing

In 2024, Angelina Jolie made a comeback to acting with the Maria biopic on Netflix, her first role since 2021's Those Who Wish Me Dead and Marvel’s Eternals. She also returned to directing with Without Blood, her first directorial project since 2017. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and starred Salma Hayek Pinault. Jolie’s sons, Maddox and Pax, were also involved and worked behind the scenes on the set.

Jolie’s Recent Achievements and New Outlook at 50

In 2024, Angelina Jolie won her first Tony Award as a producer for the new musical The Outsiders. Her daughter Vivienne helped out as a volunteer assistant on the production.


It is also reported that Jolie is embracing turning 50 and feels more grounded and at peace than ever on her milestone birthday.

Embraces Aging with Positivity

A report further mentions, Angelina Jolie is not afraid of getting older; in fact, she welcomes it. After losing her mother at a young age, Jolie now views aging positively. She feels calm, inspired, and excited about the future.

Recently, Jolie attended the Trophée Chopard dinner at the Cannes Film Festival and also went to the world premiere of Emma Stone’s new movie, Eddington, at the French International Film Festival on May 16.
