Angelina Jolie and her 16-year-old son, Knox, have been actively helping those affected by the devastating wildfires raging in Los Angeles. The pair was seen on Thursday shopping for essentials like food and water to support people in need.
Jolie, 49, shared with the Daily Mail that she has opened her Los Feliz home to host people close to her who have been displaced by the fires. She expressed deep concern about the situation and emphasized the importance of taking care of loved ones during such challenging times.
The actress also revealed that she plans to contribute financially to fire relief efforts in the coming weeks. Photos and videos obtained by the Daily Mail showed Jolie and Knox loading groceries into their car to distribute to those in need.
It is unclear which of Jolie’s six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, or Knox—are currently staying with her in California. Jolie shares her children with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
Jolie’s actions are part of a broader response from Hollywood celebrities who have come forward to support those impacted by the fires. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis recently announced that she and her husband, Christopher Guest, donated $1 million to help victims.
Other stars like Kylie Jenner, Mark Zuckerberg, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle have also made donations to local relief organizations. Meanwhile, some celebrities are offering their time and resources directly.
Jennifer Garner, for example, volunteered with World Central Kitchen, an organization led by chef José Andrés, to prepare meals for firefighters and victims.
Additionally, Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Michelle Pfeiffer, and others have donated clothing to help those who lost everything in the disaster.
As the wildfires continue to cause widespread devastation, these efforts by Jolie and other public figures highlight the importance of community support during difficult times.
