Earlier in 2016, the ‘Justice League’ actor and ex
Johnny Depp reportedly zeroed down to a $7 million divorce settlement. And subsequently,
Amber heard had then promised to donate that amount to American Civil Liberties Union and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles in 2018. And as per online reports, Amber has lived up to her words and donated the amount to CHLA.
As per CHLA's Imagine 2017 Annual Report, which is periodically updated on their website, Amber Heard’s name has made it to the list of "Honor Roll of Donors."
According to the same report, Amber has donated between $1 million to about $5 million between the span of July 2016 to June 2017.
The report even acknowledged Amber’s gesture stating that they are honored for the generosity of donors during the fiscal year 2017. And on behalf of all the children and families whose lives they have impacted, and everyone at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, they offer their sincere thanks.
Heard and Depp parted ways back in 2016, and their divorce statement read, “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity," the statement concluded. "There will be no further public statements about this matter.”
