Ali Fazal made headlines when he revealed that he had bagged a role in Gerard Butler's film 'Kandahar'. However, when the makers dropped the first trailer of the film, fans got to see very little of Ali.
In the two-minute trailer, fans got a few glimpses of the Bollywood actor and saw him delivering just one line. This raised a lot of questions about his role in the movie. According to the latest buzz, Ali's role in the film has been kept a mystery to offer an element of surprise to fans.
A source told ETimes, "Since the trailer had been out, there have been questions about Ali’s character being kept under wraps. The intention is to keep the audience guessing and have a large part of the character as a visual surprise on screen. Basically, he plays the character that is leading a key operation in Kandahar which has multiple shades to the character and goes up against the character of Gerard Butler."
Ali’s latest international project, Kandahar, which also stars Travis Fimmel and Navid Negahban, is set to be released in the US on May 26.
