Adam Sandler opens up about bond with George Clooney: ‘We are good friends now’

Recently, during a premiere for a film, Adam Sandler gave an interview and talked about the bond that he and George Clooney share. Other than that, he also made claims about how both of them are so close, and are almost similar as well.

During the attendance of the LA premiere of 'Jay Kelly', Sandler gave an exclusive interview to People, and talked about his friendship with George Clooney, beyond their shared world as actors.


He shared that, "We are good friends now, George and I. I love him. I really enjoyed my time doing everything, exercising, running around, playing hoop, throwing the baseball, throwing rocks, talking, and hearing his stories about being a kid. It's a very similar kind of upbringing in the fact that our buddies were important to us."

The two currently feature as co-stars in the film 'Jay Kelly', where Clooney plays the role of a veteran actor who is on a journey of self-discovery, while Sandler plays the role of his manager in the film.

When did the two meet for the first time

‘Jay Kelly’ is the first time that Adam Sandler and George Clooney worked together on a film; however, their first ever meeting was all the way back in the 1990s. This was the time when Sandler was still on the rise in the industry and was building his reputation while working on ‘Saturday Night Live’, where the two met.

He shared, “We went to a Knicks game together with Lorne Michaels, and I just thought he was a really funny, good man.”
