In a delightful moment at the 2024 Golden Globes, Jennifer Lawrence injected her signature humor into the ceremony as she playfully joked about her prospects of winning the award. As Lawrence's name was called among the nominees for the best performance by a female actor in a motion picture - musical or comedy, the ‘No Hard Feelings’ star was caught on camera mouthing, "If I don't win, I'm leaving."

The jovial atmosphere continued when Emma Stone was announced as the winner moments later. Rather than expressing disappointment, Lawrence threw her hands in the air and lightheartedly exclaimed, "Mother!" as she joined the chorus of cheers for her friend Stone, who won the Golden Globe for her outstanding performance in ‘Poor Things.’

Competing in the same category were Fantasia Barrino for ‘The Color Purple,’ Natalie Portman for ‘May December,’ Alma Pöysti for ‘Fallen Leaves,’ and Margot Robbie for ‘Barbie.’

Beyond Stone's victory for ‘Poor Things,’ she also earned a nomination for her performance in the Showtime television series ‘The Curse.’ This year's nominations marked Stone's seventh and eighth acting nods at the Golden Globes. She had previously secured a win at the awards ceremony in 2018 for her role in ‘La La Land,’ coinciding with her Best Actress triumph at the Academy Awards.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence, a three-time Golden Globe winner for ‘Silver Linings Playbook,’ ‘American Hustle,’ and ‘Joy,’ was in good spirits as she celebrated the evening with her sixth career nomination at the Globes.

Stone and Lawrence's camaraderie goes back years, with Woody Harrelson playing a pivotal role in fostering their friendship. Harrelson worked with Stone in 2009's ‘Zombieland’ and later collaborated with Lawrence on the ‘Hunger Games’ movies in 2010. The enduring bond between Stone and Lawrence was evident in Lawrence's playful response to Stone initially obtaining her number from Harrelson.
