Comic Con India announced that
Jim Beaver, who acted in the TV series 'Supernatural' will be attending the Alto Mumbai Comic Con 2016. Jatin Varma, Founder, Comic Con India, shared, “Supernatural is one of the most popular International shows in India. Over the years we have received thousands of requests from fans across the country to bring down cast members from show, so I am extremely excited and honoured to host Jim at the upcoming Mumbai Comic Con.
I am looking forward to give him a warm welcome to Mumbai along with the thousands of 'SPN' fans.”
Jim, who starred as the beloved demon hunter Bobby Singer on 'Supernatural', and as the gruff but tender prospector Ellsworth on HBO’s western series 'Deadwood', also plays Sheriff Shelby Parlow on FX’s 'Justified' and gun dealer Lawson on 'Breaking Bad', making him one of Hollywood’s busiest character actors.
On attending Alto Mumbai Comic Con 2016, Jim said, “I’ve been around the world once and explored almost every corner of it on other trips, but I’ve never been to India, and I’m very excited to visit Mumbai and meet the fans. India has a remarkable history and culture, and it will be wonderful to learn more about both during my visit to Mumbai Comic Con!”
A Vietnam veteran, Jim first came to prominence as Bruce Willis's best friend in Norman Jewison's acclaimed film about Vietnam vets, 'In Country'. The prolific actor has starred appeared in films such as 'Magnolia', 'Joyride', 'Sister Act', 'Bad Girls', 'Sliver', and 'The Life Of David Gale'.
From October 22-23’ 2016, fans of 'Supernatural' in India will be treated with a special session at Alto Mumbai Comic Con by Jim. At the session, he will talk about his work and will answer the questions from fans. Fans will also get a chance for one-on-one meet with him.
Other international guests who will be attending the Alto Mumbai Comic Con 2016 are Cameron Stewart, an Eisner Award winning artist, known for his work on 'Catwoman & Batman' series from DC, among many others. Edwin Huang, a New York based comic artist, illustrator and storyboarder, known for his work on the 'Street Fighter' comic series and Dan Goldman, artist of 'Shooting Wars', 'Red Light properties', 'Priya’s Shakti' and many more comics.
