The best way to reach out to someone far away is with a picture or a few words and that’s precisely what celebrities are doing — going solo or with their families — in their annual Christmas cards. In fact, for most, it’s quite a tradition with them. The picture-perfect cards are seeing everyone from the UK Royal family to the Kardashians, singer Kelly Ripa and others, sharing these festive greetings on Instagram. Take a look at some of them...

Royal greetings

As soon as this picture was posted on Twitter by someone, it went viral. The Royal family is known to send out photo cards at this time of the year. This picture of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their three growing children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis has a simple greeting that reads: 'Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year'. It was signed by 'Catherine' aka Kate Middleton.

The Kardashian-West family shared their annual holiday card. It has

with her 7-month-old son, Psalm in her lap, while Kanye West can be seen carrying their one-year-old daughter Chicago, their 1-year-old daughter. The picture features their older kids, North, 6, and Saint, 3. Kim, who posted the picture on her Insta account, captioned it as: "The West Family Christmas Card 2019".

Spelling it right

Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott posed outside with their brood, including daughters, Stella, 11, and Hattie, 8, sons Liam, 12, Finn, 7, and Beau, 2. Of jeans and blues

Denise Richards shared a cheerful colour-coordinated holiday card, where her entire family chose to pose classic white tops over jeans. The actress is beaming with her husband Aaron Phypers and daughters: Sam, Lola and Eloise. For country singer LeAnn Rimes sharing the family holiday card was all about sharing joy and peace. While husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, sons, Mason and Jake chose to wear the white-shirt-over-blue-jeans, LeAnn chose to wear a black top. Heidi Montag's holiday card warms the cockles of your heart. Looking cosy plaid and checks night-suits, the singer-actress, her husband Spencer Pratt, and little son Gunner creating a charming moment next to the Christmas tree located near the fireplace. Mission accomplished

For television personality, Lauren Conrad, holiday card is all about getting pinning down her children for a family shoot. Posing with her husband, musician William Tell and sons, Liam and Charlie in the holiday card, she writes: "Happy Holidays!! Time to pin down your children to brush their hair and keep them clean in the outfits you spent hours shopping for, cleaning and laying so you can take 1000 photos all to get one usable option that says “We’ve got it together! We always wear this much white and no one in this photo has spit up in their hair.”.
