Directed by Barry Jenkins, the movie premiered in the US on December 9, 2024, and worldwide it hit the big screens on December 20, 2024. It is a new version of the original 1994 released ‘The Lion King.’ It has garnered love for a new spin on the old tale that kept the legacy intact and enhanced the feel with VFX.

ETimes rated the movie with a solid 3.5 out of 5 and our review reads, “Voice acting remains a standout feature. Aaron Pierre delivers a nuanced portrayal of Mufasa, balancing courage with humility. Kelvin Harrison Jr. excels as Taka/Scar, capturing the character’s evolution from insecure sibling to bitter antagonist. Mads Mikkelsen shines as Kiros, the commanding leader of the Outsiders, while Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen return as Timon and Pumbaa, injecting humour with their delightful chemistry. Mufasa: The Lion King is a visual treat that immerses audiences in a beautifully rendered world. Its stunning CGI, aesthetic appeal, and engaging performances captivate, and make for an experience worth having on the big screen.”
