Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Box Office Day 1 : Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy starrer earns over Rs 2 crore

After a string of successful films, Hollywood is back with one of its biggest offering this summer, George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, a prequel to the 2015 superhit film Mad Max: Fury Road. With this one, Anya Taylor-Joy steps into the shoes of Charlize Theron to play the role of Furiosa.
The film takes the audience through her tragic, yet powerful journey, who is filled with rage and out looking for revenge, and she delivers all this, without barely having dialogues in the film. The actress would be seen sparring with Chris Hemsworth, who is known for his Marvel character Thor and his extraction series. He plays the role of Dementus.
The film released in India on Thursday, and minted Rs 2.05 crore on day 1, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. The film has been released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages, with Rs 1 crore coming from English version, and Rs 70 lakh from Hindi version and the rest from Tamil and Telugu.
The film will be having a smooth run at the box office, as it will be crossing heads with Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth which is already in its third week, and Garfield which will start its second week. Also this week’s Hindi release is Manoj Bajpayee’s Bhaiyya Ji which is expected to have a decent start.
