Running late? Ditch the car, take couture to the train like Coco
Somewhere between a fashion emergency and a race against time, Coco Rocha turned New York’s public transport into her runway. Dressed in a dramatic furry black-and-white Christian Siriano gown that ignored ‘compact travel,’ she hopped on a train to make The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere –proving high fashion runs on subway timing.
‘Just going to a movie premiere’
Rocha gave Instagram a front-row seat to her commute. The clip shows Coco at a station casually waiting for the next train like it was just another Thursday. At one point, a confused commuter asked, “Are you going dancing tonight?” To which she promptly replied, “Going to a movie.” The video shows the full behind-the-scenes episode – from glam prep to last-minute panic – as Rocha navigates New York City like a very fashionable time bomb. To this, one user commented, “Only the icons take the subway dressed in Fashion”
When the costume adds oomph to the chaos
Just when things couldn’t get more dramatic, the dress itself joined the chaos. The zipper gave up, forcing an emergency pit stop before the premiere where Rocha had to be sewn and safety-pinned into the gown. And she documented it all, writing: “Follow me for the chaos of #TheDevilWearsPrada2 premiere. Sprinted to the train (the only way I was making Manhattan on time), emergency stop at Christian Siriano because my zipper fully gave up on me… quick sew, deep breath, straight to the red carpet. All in under an hour. No notes. Pure madness!” Despite the wardrobe betrayal, Rocha carried it all with absolute grace – straight-up supermodel composure.
