Shakti Kapoor: Most noted Bhojpuri movies of the Bollywood actor

Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor is best known for his villainous and comic roles in Hindi films. He has worked in more than 700 films throughout his career. After a long struggle, Shakti Kapoor was spotted by Sunil Dutt while he was making ‘Rocky’ to launch his son Sanjay Dutt. Shakti was then cast as the antagonist in the movie. He has done many movies with actor Kader Khan as the comical or evil duo in over 100 films. He has also acted in few Bengali, Bhojpuri, Odia, and Assamese films. ‘Ankhiyan Ladiye Gail’

‘Ankhiyan Ladiye Gail’ is a Bhojpuri film featuring Shakti Kapoor, Pawan Singh, Vinay Anand, Rinku Ghosh and Upasana Singh in pivotal roles. The movie was penned and directed by Sunil Sinha. It was jointly produced by Satish Kumar and Sushil Singh. The year 1980-81 established Shakti Kapoor as an actor in Bollywood with two of his movies ‘Qurbani’ and ‘rocky’. In 1983, Kapoor played roles of the villain in movies like ‘Himmatwala’ and ‘Hero’.

‘Janam Janam Ke Saath’

Bhojpuri film ‘Janam Janam Ke Saath’ includes some famous Bollywood stars such as Shakti Kapoor, Bhagyashree, Nagma and Manoj Tiwari. The film was a romantic drama. It was directed by Aslam Sheikh and produced by Abhay Sinha. Since 2000, Shakti stuck to Priyadarshan’s film and gave many hits such as ‘Hungama’, ‘Hulchul’, ‘Chup Chup Ke’, ‘Malamaal Weekly’, and Malayalam remake ‘Bhagam Bhag’.

‘Golmaal Ba Bhaiyya’ is comedy Bhojpuri film starring Shakti Kapoor, Ravi Kishan and Upasana Singh in a lead role. The movies were directed by Prabhakar Shetty and produced by Dinesh Awasthi. Ravi Kishan is one of the successful and highest paid actresses of Bhojpuri industry. He is also known for some of his noted roles in Bollywood movies like ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Bullet Raja’ and ‘Luck’.

High action-drama Bhojpuri film ‘Hum Hai Hero Hindustani’ was directed by Manoj Narayan. The movie features Viraj Bhatt, Shakti Kapoor and Vinay Bihari in pivotal roles. The story of the film was penned by Shivam Adhikari and produced by Shamim Akhtar. The song for the film was written by Vinay Bihari, Pyare Lal Yadav, and Fanindra Rao. Shakti Kapoor is married to Shivangi and two children, a son Siddhanth Kapoor and a daughter actress Shraddha Kapoor.
