Allahabad Se Islamabad

The mysterious title itself creates curiosity. But there are other reasons too for ‘Allahabad Se Islamabad’ being one of the keenly awaited Bhojpuri films of 2016. Firstly, it stars the attractive Rani Chatterjee in the lead. The actress will be seen donning various avatars in the film. That’s not all. It is said that Rani will also be seen fighting terrorists. ‘Allahabad Se Islamabad’ went on floors on January 25. Directed by Sahil Sunny, the release date will be announced some time later.

Tujhko Rakhe Raam Tujhko Allah Rakhe

The title might make it sound as if it is an emotional tale. However, that is not the case. ‘Tujhko Rakhe Ram Tujhko Allah Rakhe’ is an out-and-out action flick and going by its first look, it appears like a patriotic saga featuring our armed forces. This genre is hardly tried in the Bhojpuri arena, making it an eagerly awaited flick of the year. The film stars superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirahua and Amrapali Dubey.

Dabangg Aashiq

Khesari Lal Yadav’s ‘Dabangg Aashiq’ is keenly looked forward due to a number of reasons. The superstar will be seen in an action avatar, for which he has been appreciated over the last few years. He is paired opposite the hot Anjana Singh while the beautiful Kajal Raghwani is also a part of the cast. Apart from Uttar Pradesh (UP), where most Bhojpuri films are shot, ‘Dabangg Aashiq’ is also shot in Baroda, Gujarat.

The fact that superstar Dinesh Lal Yadav, who is nicknamed Nirahua, is playing the title role makes this a keenly awaited Bhojpuri flick of 2016. As per the title, this is the story of a lover. But the film is said to be a typical masala entertainer with elements like romance and action as well. In the Satish Jain directed film, Nirahua is paired opposite the beautiful Amrapali. ‘Aashiq Awara’ is this year’s Holi release.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham

No, this is not the official Bhojpuri remake of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s 2002 blockbuster of the same name. This is an original Bhojpuri movie titled ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’. Directed by Krishna Kumar and Samrendra Singh, the film is said to be a clean family entertainer. The film is a first of this genre after a long time. It stars the well-known Khesari Lal Yadav, Akshara Singh, Priyanka Pandit and Ayaz Khan.
