Vinay Anand slams groupism in the Bollywood

Govinda's nephew Vinay Anand, who started his acting career with the Bollywood film 'Lo Main Aagaya', has revealed some interesting facts about the Hindi film industry. While Vinay Anand is currently a popular Bhojpuri actor, he has previously worked in several Bollywood movies like 'Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya', 'Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa' and 'Jahan Jaaeyega Hamen Paaeyega'.
While speaking to ETimes exclusively, Vinay spilled several secrets of Bollywood and said, "Bollywood has its own charm but you'll love that charm only if you get work regularly. There are always groups in Bollywood and they decide who they have to take in the film. So, it depends upon your luck whether they will cast you in a film or not. When I started my career, I was getting films regularly but later it stopped. We don't get films that we want to do and hence several actors are sitting at home. And it is only later that we understand that no films will be coming our way. I was quite lucky to shift to Bhojpuri cinema and started getting lead roles there."
The actor also revealed how he started his acting career and said, "I have not even completed my HSC. When I was in 11th standard, I got a film offer. I was too young to decide, I asked my father and he told me to choose film instead of studies. He said that people struggle a lot and if you are getting it so easily then go for it. So, I left my studies and started my acting career."
On the work front, Anand recently completed the shoot of his untitled film where he will be seen alongside Manmeet Kaur. The actor also has a family-drama 'Bhojpuria Mein Dum Ba'.
