Shivika Diwan on working in Bhojpuri film industry: I am too worried about my image

One of the popular Bhojpuri actresses Shivika Diwan started her acting career in 2017 with Pawan Singh and Madhu Sharma starrer 'Challenge'. She has also worked in several languages including Tamil and Punjabi.
While speaking to ETimes exclusively, the actress talked about her journey and said, "I stepped into acting by fate I would say. Yes as a child, I was a big tv fan, used to watch it a lot and came here to be a part of it but destiny had something else to offer.I gave so many auditions for tv but never got something exciting to play, and for films. I have never auditioned whether it is Bhojpuri, Telugu or Punjabi. I guess every individual has a different journey."
Speaking about the vulgar content in the Bhojpuri cinema, she said, "I am too worried about my image when I mention that I worked in Bhojpuri films because as far as I have experienced people relate it to vulgarity for sure, and even if they work with you considering you a good actor or an actor beyond Bhojpuri, they mention not to promote Bhojpuri at all because of the obvious reasons. And that’s the reason I have not promoted my films because it might hamper my other works."
"All vulgar content whether it is songs or movies in Bhojpuri should be banned immediately. Bhojpuri Industry should only focus on content and cinema that can be released in Multiplexes", the actress added.
On the work front, Shivika will be seen in several upcoming Bhojpuri films like 'Damad Ji Kiraye Par Hai', 'Kahani', 'Paheli', 'Parvarish' and 'Khiladi' opposite Khesari Lal Yadav.
