Popular Bhojpuri singer Kalpana Patowary joins Bharatiya Janta Party

After Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan Bhojpuri singer, Kalpana Patowary too joins politics. Kalpana officially joined Bharatiya Janta party in Patna in the presence of national president Amit Shah and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi.
This is the first time that Kalpana Patowary is joining any political party. Speaking about the same, she said, “I am impressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and leadership. I have not joined BJP for contesting elections as of now but I am ready to help out the party in every possible way of serving through my art.”
When asked if her political stint would affect her core work of singing, she added, “Even if I join politics, my field of work will be same as of now that is my music and more importantly archiving our folk musical heritage. I’ll use politics as a tool, as a medium and power to serve more and reach out. BJP for me is an ideology.”
Kalpana Patowary, who hails from Assam, was inducted in the party with honour in the presence of top leaders of the party.
