Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey ended her life on Sunday in Varanasi. Reportedly, the actress was facing some personal depression and came live on Instagram with tears in her eyes. She allegedly died by suicide at the age of 25 and her body was found dead in a hotel room. A clip of her covering her mouth and crying is around the internet.
Dubey's family has now demanded a CBI inquiry into her death. Her mother, Madhu Dubey has filed a complaint against Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh and his brother Sanjay Singh at the Sarnath police station. Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against them for abetment to suicide under section 306 of the IPC.cA 4-doctor panel will conduct the post-mortem of the actress, after which the body will be handed over to the family.
Madhu Dubey has alleged that Samar and his elder brother Sanjay Singh had threatened to kill her daughter on March 21. Samar wanted Akanksha to work only with him and he used to physically assault her if she worked with anyone else, the actress' mother claimed.
