Bhojpuri actress Manisha Rai who died in a car accident was popularly known for the Bhojpuri short film ‘Kohabar’. The film made a strong point against the gender stereotyping and the gender roles that have been specified in our patriarchal society. Actor Raju Upadhyay played the role of the groom and Manisha portrayed the bride in the film. She was mainly acted in short films and has done films like 'Bhor', and 'Mr & Mrs @ni8'. Manisha met with a car accident while on her way for shooting in Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh.
