Theatre festival to celebrate performing arts

City theatre group Moromia will be hosting its third annual theatre festival, C/O Theatre 3, in the city. More than 40 performances from about seven different theatrical forms, including proscenium, non-proscenium and others, will be showcased in this nine-day event. Probir Guha of Alternative Living Theatre, Krishnendu Dewanji of Uttarpara Bratyajan, Chandan Sen and Shantilal Mukherjee of Natya Anan, Subhasis Khamaru of Roddur and Supriya Samajdar of Bibhaban are scheduled to attend the inauguration of the festival on Saturday.Moromiya will stage its popular play, Love Sex aur Dhokha, on the first day. There are days dedicated to street theatre, mime, puppetry, magic show and others. Intimate theatre will also be a focus of the festival.
