Tanushree Shankar and team to celebrate International Dance Day

Danseuse Tanusree Shankar is all geared up to celebrate the International Dance Day. The members of Ananda Shankar Centre for performing Arts have planned to put up a performance — a collage of four dance acts and a dance drama, The Child.
“We will be performing Rabindranath Tagore’s The Child,” said Tanusree, who is the director of the play. Tagore’s The Child was originally written in English in a single night and later translated into Bengali.“Debajyoti Mishra has composed the music for the piece. The dance drama is about 40-minute long,” she added.
Speaking on the stage production, Tanusree said, “Dinesh Poddar has designed the light for the drama. He has been working with me for a very long time — way before he became so famous. I think we are working for 20-25 years.” The dance drama is
