Sujoy to debut as director

Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee

has been exploring different kinds of art forms. After working in theatre,

films

and music, the interdisciplinary artiste is now gearing up to step into direction. He will soon be debuting with a short, Home. The film will feature a series of actresses, including Rituparna Sengupta, Indrani Halder, Bidipta Chakraborty, Sudipa Basu, Ratasree, Sohag Sen, Chandreyi Ghosh and Tuhina Das.

“It was an eventual progression because when I read poetry I get to see a flight of images. This is exactly what has happened to me when I was reading Home, by

. A lot of images came to my mind. I thought I should knit these images. Hence, the idea of the film came in my mind. It is a 10-minute-long, non-dialogue film,” Sujoy told us.

While Madhura Palit will work as the DOP, Sunny Ray will be the associate director.
