, a

adaptation, is gradually panning out to be a significant production for Chetana. While Sujan’s son, Dayadh Mukhopadhyay, is playing the guitar in the musical, wife Nivedita is one of the leading performers. In fact, the patriarch of the group, Arun Mukhopadhyay, was also scheduled to do a cameo. However, as he is not keeping well,

might just step into his shoes.
“In 1994, when my father used to play Don in

Dukhi Mukhi Joddha

— his version of Don Quixote — I used to play that tiny guest appearance there. Since Don — Taake Bhalo Laage is also based on Dukhi Mukhi Joddha, we retained that role and my father was supposed to play that at least for a few shows. Now that he is not keeping well, I am preparing myself for the role,” says Sujan, who used to play the guitar in the older production.
