It was a laughter riot when Sahil Shah of East India Comedy fame, Mumbai based Aakash Mehta and Bangalore-based stand-up comic Utsav Chakraborty served a dose of rib-tickling humour at a city hotel recently Anirban Dasgupta warmed up the crowd with hilarious pokes at caste .stereotypes and wedding rituals as Aakash, who was performing for the fifth time in the city, delved further with sidesplitting references.

Utsav's hilarious rendition of the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi title track and AR Rahman's lingering, dolby digital-esque voice earned him hysterical cheers and the loudest rounds of applause from the audience. “It was wonderful coming back to Kolkata. It's great to see that the audience and the comedy scene are growing here,“ said Shah.
