Soumyajit shares tales of a nomadic life

Sumyajit Majumdar, artistic director of Lok, took to the stage as part of the Live in series recently. He shared his journey into the performing arts with live music, songs, performance poetry, excerpts from his plays, monologues and unreleased writings to stage a candid piece called Walking Along.
“This is something I have performed before in Delhi, Bangalore and Pune.This is a very personal performance connecting my nomadic travels and experiences around the country in pursuit of the performing arts," he said. Actress Mumtaz Sorcar said, “I really liked his performance. It was an innovative effort. It is good that youngsters are coming up and trying to make a mark. This initiative of his is really commendable." We also spotted youth actors Raya Chowdhury, Kheya Chattopadhyay and Aditya Sengupta at the do.
